Open Call: Joint German-Russian funding competition for applied industry-related research

The objective of this funding measure is to promote innovative German-Russian collaborative projects focusing on emerging technologies. This funding programme is carried out under the German Federal Government's Strategy for the Internationalisation of Science and Research and the BMBF's International Cooperation Action Plan and aims to foster the cooperation with the Russian Federation through strategic project funding.

Funding organisations:

  • Russian Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises (FASIE)
  • German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)

Target group:

  • Germany: SME together with a university or non-university research institution
  • Russia: small innovative SME. Cooperation with university or non-university research institution encouraged.

Object of funding:

  • high-risk industrial research and pre-competitive development projects, e.g., the development of a prototype or a demonstrator

Funding duration:

  • Up to 2 years

Budget:

  • 150,000 Euro on the German side (co-financing by the SME required)
  • 150,000 Euro on the Russian side (co-financing by the SME required)
