International Round Table discussion 'Shaping of Proposals on Enhancement of Russia-EU S&T; Cooperation Efficiency'

On 5 March,2013 the National Research University 'Higher School of Economics' held an international round table discussion 'Shaping of Proposals on Enhancement of Russia-EU S&T Cooperation Efficiency'. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the results of the inventory of existing procedures and instruments of Russia-EU S&T cooperation and to elaborate proposals for their improvement.

The new Framework Programme of the European Commission “Horizon 2020” was actively discussed. Also new mechanisms of EU-Russia (TPs) cooperation in field of innovations were highlighted. National technology Platforms and innovative regional clusters were named as one of the main communicative tools that encourage cooperation with the EU partners.

The participants highlighted that new cooperation mechanisms tested during the ERA.Net RUS two pilot calls and coordinated calls were highly effective.
