EU-EECA Experts Database

Are you a researcher or policy stakeholder from Eastern Europe, Central Asia or South Caucasus? Do you have experience in international STI collaboration under the EU's framework programmes or other international cooperation schemes? Would you like to intensify your contacts with colleagues from EU-MS/AC and be infomed about or invited to events in international STI cooperation? Then you might want to join  the 'Experts Database' developed by IncoNet EECA and IncoNet CA/SC.

What is the 'EU-EECA Experts Database'?

This database was developed by the Central Information Office of IncoNet EECA and Inconet CA/SC. It has been integrated into the project's internal communication platform, a password protected webspace that is only accessible to project members and invited guests.

The original thought behind this database was to keep in touch with the international experts, who took part in the project's workshops, info days, conferences and trainings, visited science events in Europe with the support of the projects' travel grants or had other relations with these projects. The database is also open to other experts from Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia, who are intersted in international cooperation with their European counterparts. The 'Experts Database' can only be accessed upon invitation - you will have to be provided with a user name and password before you can enter your profile.

The database is still rather small and not meant as a matchmaking platform to set up new project consortia or the like. For these purposes the European Commission offers a far better partner search tool and many thematic EU projects have developed a variety of other useful databases.

How can I add and edit my profile?

This is a glimpse at the entry form, which you will fill in yourself:

Data protection

Apart from the administrators, you will be the only person, who can edit the content of your profile. You have to be aware however, that your profile is also visible to the other experts, who have access to the database. You can provide as much or as little information as you want. The only manadtory fields are your name, e-mail-adress, your expertise by FP7 taxonomy, and the authorisation to process the provided data (see below).

It will be your own decision, whether your profile will only be accessible to providers of the database and other experts, or if you also agree to make your profile available to the general public, by ticking the respective box:

Who can I contact for further information?

If you would like to get access to the 'Experts Database' please write a short e-mail to the IncoNet Central Information Office (see below), telling us a few words about yourself. The CIO is also you contact partner for any other questions concerning this database.
