The long-term integrated Business Partnerships Matchmaking Programme “Russia – Europe: Cooperation without Frontiers” is targeted at assisting Russian industrial companies, inter alia SMEs, in production, R&D and services with business partnership proposals, including investment projects, to identify potential business partners in Europe. Likewise at assisting European companies, inter alia SMEs, to identify potential business partners in Russia.
The plenary will be opened by Mr. Igor Shuvalov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Government Commission on competition and development of small and medium-sized enterprises. A tentative programme is available at the Forum website.
The Forum is one of the tools to support and foster business partnerships between Russian and European SMEs. Participation is free of charge. The seven B2B fora already held brought together 985 Russian and 406 European SMEs which had 2,890 bilateral negotiations. An unlimited number of informal meetings were also held. In 2013 the Forum was selected by the European Commission to hold the first «Mission for Growth to the Russian Federation» headed by Mr. Antonio Tajani, Vice-President.
On 29 June during a morning round-table businessmen and bankers from Europe and Russia will be invited to express their viewpoint on the current status of doing business between European and Russian companies. The outcomes of these deliberations will be brought to the attention of the afternoon plenary session with the participation of officials from Europe and Russia to discuss the progress and prospect of the EU-Russia initiative “Partnership for Modernisation”.
On 30 June face-to-face bilateral meetings between Russian and European companies, likewise Russian potential investors and European investment promotion institutions will be organised.
