STI Priority Setting in the EU Countries and the Russian Federation: Best practices

Most of the developed countries regularly work on STI priorities setting, providing the basis for their STI policies. The focus is put on dealing with strategic socio-economic development objectives, efficient exploitation of national competitive advantages, and concentrating on application of particularly efficient innovative technologies.

The main objective of this brochure is to present a review of best STI priority setting practices in the EU countries and the Russian Federation, compare sets of priorities adopted by various European countries, and identify promising subject areas for further enhancement of international cooperation between the European countries and Russia.
