On 10 May 2015, the 'Europe Day' event took place in the Chisinau Downtown where the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, the Centre for International Projects and National Contact Points Network promoted the Horizon 2020 programme through promotion materials, open funding opportunities, and success stories on participation in the EU Framework Programme. This activity was continued on 16 May 2023 with the 'European Village' organised in Soroca. The latter took place in conjunction with the official launching of Soroca Fortress, which was restored with support of EU funding under the 'Medieval Jewelries: Khotyn, Soroca, Suceava Mejekss' project.Within the European Village 2015, the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM) has exhibited its achievements in two tents. In the first tent ASM was present along with other Government institutions of the Republic of Moldova, ministries, agencies etc., while the second tent was dedicated exclusively to the European Union Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020.
In the tent of Moldovan public authorities, employees of the Foreign Relations Department and Scientific Sections of ASM provided promotional materials which reflect the work of research institutes, their scientific achievements, and organized a valuable exhibition of publications signed by Moldovan researchers from ASM institutes. Moreover, the Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer (AITT) of ASM presented an exhibition of achievements of young innovators. In the tent of the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme, the Center for International Projects of ASM and the National Contact Points of H2020 in Moldova, distributed promotional materials and provided advice on the opportunities offered by this EU Programme.
Thus, the visitors were informed about the interactive events "Science Slam Moldova" and "Researchers' Night" held on May 28, and on September 25, respectively in Chisinau.
