    Upcoming Horizon 2020 Calls addressing Eastern Partnership Countries

    A unique opportunity for researchers in the EaP countries is coming up soon! EU and EaP partners should now start to form consortia to prepare joint proposals in two thematic fields of Horizon 2020: 'Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnology, Advanced Manufacturing and Processing' and 'Smart, Green and Integrated Transport'. In the new Work Programmes 2018-2020 (published on 27 October 2017) there is a whole batch of calls recommending 'in particular' the cooperation with the Eastern Partnership countries.

    SEnECA – New project aims to strengthen EU-Central Asia relations

    While they are situated thousands of kilometres apart and characterised by different political values, Central Asia and the European Union have become important partners. In the Horizon 2020-project 'SEnECA – Strengthening and energizing EU-Central Asia Relations' researchers and think tanks will analyse how the relationship between the EU and the Central Asian countries can be further intensified.

    Webinar on 'Sustainable Process Industry' (SPIRE) Calls 2018

    On 23 November 2017, the EaP Plus project will organise a webinar on 'Sustainable Process Industry'(SPIRE) 2018 calls for EU and EaP participants. The new Work Programme 2018-2020 on 'Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnology and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing' particularly encourages international cooperation with Eastern Partnership countries (Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Belarus) in the frame of the SPIRE calls.

    Grants for networking in Brokerage Events and Preparatory Meetings

    The EaP PLUS Team has announced the 2nd round of the 'Call for Grants for networking in Brokerage Events or Preparatory Meetings'. This grant for networking financially supports the participation of researchers from Eastern Partnership countries in Brokerage Events related to Horizon 2020 and Preparatory Meetings for the development of H2020 project proposals. The 2nd round of the scheme will give special priority to applications concerning SPIRE calls which are explicitly encouraging participation from EaP countries.
