    National Academy of Sciences of Belarus publishes top 10 results 2016

    The Competition Bureau of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus has recently announced the Top-10 fundamental research results of the Academy of Sciences for the year 2016. The list covers a wide spectrum of scientific fields including physics, biotechnology, medical and material sciences as well as archaeology.

    Peer Review of the Ukrainian Research and Innovation System – including Policy Recommendations

    A ‘Policy Support Facility’ has been set up under Horizon 2020 by the Directorate-General for Research & Innovation of the European Commission Its aim is to support Member States and Associated Countries in reforming their national science, technology and innovation systems. The Peer Review of the Ukrainian Research and Innovation system was carried out between May and November 2016 by a dedicated PSF Panel, consisting of nine independent experts and national peers.

    Helmholtz Wintergespräche (Helmholtz Winter Talks)

    A new project was launched in Moscow in February 2016 - the 'Helmholtz Winter Talks'. The new event format offers a strategic platform to promote the exchange of views between German and Russian representatives from science, education, politics and business. On 8 February 2017, the 'Helmholtz Winter Talks' will take place in Moscow for the second time under the patronage of Andrej Fursenko, advisor to the President of the Russian Federation for Science, and Edelgard Bulmahn, Vice-President of the German Bundestag.

    Joint Russian-Austrian initiative research projects competition of the Russian Foundation for Basic research (RFBR) and Austrian Science Fund (FWF)

    Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR), in accordance with the Memorandum on Cooperation with the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), announce a call for proposals for joint Russian-Austrian projects in basic research.     Call of the 'Helmholtz-RSF Joint Research Groups'

    In order to increase the scientific cooperation between Helmholtz Research Centres and Russian Research Institutions, the Helmholtz Association and the Russian Science Foundation announce the opening of a first call for applications for Helmholtz-RSF Joint Research Groups: It is open for applications in the two research areas 'Biomedicine' and 'Information and Data Science' from 15 December 2016 until 31 March 2017.
